Barelonas’ Main City Attractions
Barcelona is one of Spain’s most popular tourist destinations. When visiting it’s hard to believe that Barcelona hasn’t always drawn the crowds, the city began it’s transformation in 1992 when it won the rights for the Olympics. The newly designed city includes a lovely man-made beach, palm tree lined avenues and a stylish redeveloped port. Whether you are interested in art, culture, drinking, fine cuisine, music, shopping, sport or partying - this captivating city will not let you down! Here is a guide to Barcelona’s main attractions:
* The Picasso Museum is Barcelona’s most popular museum with over a million annual visitors. It has a large collection from this famous artist and shouldn’t be missed.
* Park Guell is a pretty garden complex filled with some unique architecture. It’s great for a romantic stroll.
* The famous La Sagrada Familia the massive catholic church still under construction from 1882! It’s still impressive although not finished.
* The incredible Batllo House is sometimes called the House of Bones and indeed it does have a visceral, skeletal organic quality. It was originally designed for a middle-class family and situated in a prosperous district of Barcelona.
*It if worth a trip to the Camp Nou, Barcelona’s world famous stadium. There is an excellent tour which appeals to football fans and non football fans alike.
*If you are visiting the city as a family good places to try are the Tibidabo Amusement Park, the IMAX cinema and the fabulous Magic Fountain of Montjuic.
* The world famous Las Ramblas is a must see. It’s a lively street which has an abundance of street performers and a great happy atmosphere.
*The Olympic port is the place to visit for a great selection of good bars, places to eat and even a casino. The beach is also located here.
Tips for getting around - The city can be a little sprawling but it also has a very good public transport system (both buses and trains). Taxis are also not too expensive. Hope you enjoy your stay!

Islas Cies In Galicia: Idyllic Beach Camping
When it comes to Spanish beaches most people automatically go for the Mediterranean Coastline. However is in the Atlantic coast of Spain, north of Portugal, where one of the top beaches in the world can be found in the least spoiled, astonishing Atlantic coastline of Galicia.
One of the gems of this coastline is on Las Islas Cies. Once a pirate’s haunt, you can only access Las Islas Cies by boat, a distant cry from other Mediterranean sandy destinations. Instead of returning to your hotel after a day’s snorkelling and sun worshiping, camp out in the idyllic site provided.
Galegos ,as the locals are known by, come here to spend lengthy, lazy summer holidays on the Praia das Rodas, a perfect cove of fine, white sand backed by small dunes sheltering a calm sea of crystal-clear waters. Spanish refer to it as their “Caribbean beach”. The sand is white enough and the water is turquoise enough to stand up to its Caribbean rivals. Perhaps the only noticeable difference is the chilling temperature of the water.
Where to Stay:
To stay overnight you must book at Camping Islas Cies (www.campingislascies.com). The average cost is 7 Euros per person. The camping ground with a capacity of 800 people is wheelchair friendly and has a restaurant and a supermarket.
How to get there:
Islas Cies are a 45 minute ferry ride from the city of Vigo, sitting just 15 kilometres offshore. Naviera Mar de Ons runs boats to and from the island. Only up to 8 return trips a days are schedule to/from Vigo at an average cost of 17 Euros per adult and children under 12 years are free.
The main beach:
The main beach that people come to is Rodas Beach or Praia das Rodas on Las Islas Cies which means “Wheels Beach” in Galician. Praia das Rodas has been named as one of the best beaches in the world in a few polls, including a list created by The UK’s Guardian.

Holidays to Spain - Why not visit Spain This Year?
I have always loved to go to Spain. I just love the country and its people. Traveling to Spain was something I did regularly. I have seen practically the whole country. The real nice areas (at least, that is what I think) are the regions around Burgos and Toledo (which is close to the capital Madrid). But don’t forget the south coast with stunning areas around Cadiz and Algeciras.
I was driving through Spain many times for my employer. This company was delivering goods mostly for big corporations and governments. So I guess you can say I saw Europe from North to South and from East to West. And Spain has always been a country I was eager to visit time and time again. Life in Spain is lived in the streets. Spanish people eat together outside and when you ever visit Spain, this is something you will love to see.
Look, the climate is awesome and of course this helps. In southern Spain you do not really have winters like in the more northern parts of Europe of course. Temperatures in the south are very comfortable. I mean, sitting in the sun with a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius while at home the snow falls from the skies, who doesn’t want that?
The tourists just love Spain because it has so much to offer and most of them love to spend some quality time on the beach. From Lloret de Mar close to the beautiful city of Barcelona (where I ate the best pizza ever, I am sorry to say, Italians), the south coast cities like Torremolinos and Marbella, Benidorm (just south of Valencia), or the famous Canary Islands, which is Spanish territory as well, there is plenty of space in Spain to get your skin the color you so desperately want sometimes.
And of course, if you like the nightlife, you should visit Madrid and Barcelona, two cities that are also famous for their magnificent soccer stadiums (you might want to consider visiting a match). Yes, Spain is a great country to spend some time and I can personally recommend it.

Spain Travel Deals - Always Look On The Sunny Side Of Life
Visiting Spain has always been one of my favorite activities in life. This country is just great and the people are incredible. Traveling to Spain was something I did regularly. I have seen practically the whole country. I especially love the areas around cities like Burgos (more to the North) and Toledo (just south of Madrid). But there are other regions as well that are breathtaking. The country has much to offer. Take my word for it.
I was driving through Spain many times for my employer. This company was delivering goods mostly for big corporations and governments. So I saw Europe from top to bottom. And Spain has always been a place I loved to visit. Life in Spain is lived in the streets. In the evening people eat outside and it’s just so great to see all those people living with each other outside.
Of course, the weather conditions in Spain are beyond great. I mean, Spain offers some great sun in the south during winter. Temperatures in winter in the south of Spain are still very comfortable, really. A lot of people who ended their working careers and are retired, just love to spend their winters in the south of Spain. A lot of retired people from all over Europe live there during winter.
If you are into white sandy beaches, Spain is a great country with a lot of opportunities. Take Lloret de Mar or Sitges for instance, all very close to one of Spain’s most beautiful cities, Barcelona, of Gaudi Church fame. Or what about Torremolinos, Marbella and Malaga in the south of Spain? Those cities welcome millions of visitors every single year. But we could give you another 100 locations (at least) in Spain where you’ll find great beaches.
If you are not into beaches so much and more into city life and the nightlife of Spanish metropolitan areas, then Madrid and Barcelona are the cities to visit. I don’t think we have to mention here that both cities have some great restaurants and bars where you can stay all night long. And by the way, if you like soccer, visit a match in one of the major cities. Yes, Spain offers it all. It’s time for you to visit!
