Menorca - Spain’s Balearic Islands
The Balearic Islands situated off the east coast of Spain have become favorite holiday spot due to its amazing beauty, Mediterranean climate and rich cultural values. The archipelago consists of four main islands, Majorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Menorca, each with distinct charm and character.
The largest island is Majorca, which is the home capital of city Palma. The physical features are mountains i.e. the Alfabia and Tramuntana ranges, a fertile plain i.e., Es Pla, and beaches with rugged coastline. It use to be a favorite tourist place, but due to the overdevelopment in many places in Majorca and relieve from worst excess the government finally drop their decision for development.
People get bored in their daily routine life. Ibiza is an attractive tourist place where it can influence the partygoers in larger towns and resorts. The highlighted things in Ibiza are excellent beaches, overdeveloped areas and nightlife scenes. Most tourists plan their holidays and overnights in the atmosphere of Ibiza Island.
There are hundreds of miles of pristine coastline ideal for scuba diving, snorkeling, and sailing. In addition, some areas of the island have been declared United Nations World Heritage Sites for their unique biodiversity and cultural significance.
Formentera, just south of Ibiza, is the smallest of the main Balearic Islands, measuring only twelve miles from end to end. Like the others, it boasts breathtaking scenery, but unlike Majorca and Ibiza, it does not suffer from overdevelopment. Its white-sand beaches are Formentera’s main attraction. The vibe here is considerably more laid back, and as a result the island tends to attract those visitors looking for a quieter, more relaxing experience.
A total barren place Menorca is totally opposite to the commercialization on Majorca and Ibiza. Not developed, this island does not have enough accommodation for the visitors. It being a small island even then it has more beaches (120) than the three islands combined together. There are not many people on these beaches and are normally clean. There are many historic stone monuments, which make it famous; the scenic beauty of Monte Toro is mind blowing as it the highest place on the island.
Menorca has become the most popular and sought after holiday destination among the islands due to its reputation as “the Jewel of the Balearics”.

There are also decent temperatures throughout the winter too. Whether it’s hiking in the Pyrenees Mountains or swimming and sunbathing on the gorgeous beaches, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The translation for Costa Brava is “wild coast”. This name is very fitting, since this area of the Mediterranean coast seems to have it all! There are scenic sandy beaches as well as rugged and rocky cliffs. The mixed terrain, which also includes areas with little private coves, is likely due to the fact that it is so close in proximity to the Pyrenees Mountains.

You can spend your morning exploring the rocky beaches, while you switch it up for the afternoon and go to the sandy beaches to do some swimming and relaxing with your family or friends. Perhaps the best of all is the amazing view that you can take in from the tops of the cliffs and mountains. There is nowhere else in the world where you can get a view like the views at Costa Brava!
